Contracts

The Contracts section is your documents library filtered to one thing: every document tagged as a contract, workspace-wide, with uploads filed as contracts automatically.

Contracts in NeoKivo are not a separate system — they are documents with the contract tag, given their own front door. Open Contracts in the navigation and you see every contract in the workspace in one list, without digging through each deal. It is the same library as Documents, pre-filtered, so everything you know about documents applies: the same viewer, the same search, the same deal linking.

Uploading a contract

  1. 1Open Contracts and click Upload.
  2. 2Pick the file. There is no tag to choose — anything uploaded here is filed as a contract.
  3. 3The contract appears in the list. Open it to link it to a deal.

Because the section sets the tag for you, NeoKivo skips its usual automatic classification — your word wins. Documents uploaded elsewhere (the general Documents page, or straight from a deal) are auto-tagged instead, and the classifier may also file them as contracts; they show up here the moment they carry the tag. The tag is not locked forever: anyone with access can retag a document later, which moves it in or out of this list.

Linking a contract to a deal

A contract does not have to belong to a deal — a master services agreement or a partner agreement can live here on its own. When it does belong to a deal, open the contract and use Link to deal. On the deal page, linked contracts appear in the Documents section alongside the deal’s other files, marked with a Contract badge. There is no separate contracts tab on the deal.

If a pipeline stage requires a signed contract before a deal can advance, that is the document requirements feature — it checks for a document with the contract tag attached to the deal. See "Required documents on deals".

Storage and privacy

Like every document in NeoKivo, contracts are encrypted at rest with per-document keys, and there are no public download links — every view and download goes through NeoKivo and checks that you are signed in to the workspace.
