AI credits and limits
How NeoKivo's AI usage is metered: a free monthly allowance, optional top-up credits, and what's unmetered.
Updated 2026-07-06
Copilot chat draws from a pool of AI credits. Every workspace gets a monthly allowance included with its plan; if you use more than that, you can buy additional credits. Usage and remaining credits are always visible in Settings → Billing.
The included allowance
- Pro workspaces get a monthly pool of credits, scaled by seat count, that resets at the start of each calendar month. Unused credits do not roll over.
- Trial workspaces get a fixed one-time grant of credits to try the assistant, valid for the life of the trial.
Buying more
If you run past the included pool, Pro workspace owners can buy credit packs from Settings → Billing. Packs are one-time purchases, on top of the monthly pool, and never expire on their own.
Purchased credits are non-refundable, and they cannot be used while your subscription is inactive. Credit packs are a Pro-only purchase.
What's metered, what isn't
| Feature | Uses credits? |
|---|---|
| Copilot chat (⌘J panel, inline deal draft/brief) | Yes |
| Suggested next actions on Focus | No — included and unlimited by credits |
A harder question that needs deeper analysis costs more credits than a simple lookup — Copilot shows "Using enhanced analysis…" when this happens. Every chat request debits the pool first, then the purchased wallet once the pool is spent for the period.
Read-only workspaces
If your workspace goes read-only — for example, a trial that ended without subscribing, or a lapsed payment — the AI assistant is paused entirely, regardless of any credits you have. Re-subscribing restores access and any remaining credits resume where they left off.
Checking your usage
Settings → Billing shows how many credits you've used this period against your included pool, any credits held in reserve from a purchased pack, a daily usage chart, and when the pool next resets.
