Keyboard shortcuts

The command menu, the context-aware C shortcut, and the other real keyboard shortcuts built into NeoKivo.

Updated 2026-07-21

NeoKivo has a small set of keyboard shortcuts, all active once you're signed in. Nothing here is a UI hint without a handler behind it — every shortcut below is wired to a real action.

The command menu

Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux) anywhere in the app to open the command menu. It works even while you're typing in a field. From there you can search deals, contacts, and companies; jump to any section (Inbox, Focus, Pipeline, Contacts, Companies, Clients, Finance, Reports, Settings, Import & export); create a new deal or person; switch the theme; or sign out. On a deal's page, the menu also adds deal-specific actions like moving it to another stage or marking it won or lost. Escape closes the menu.

The C shortcut

Press C anywhere outside a text field to create something new. What it creates depends on where you are: on the People pages it opens the new-contact dialog; on the Companies pages it opens the new-company dialog, if you have permission to create companies; everywhere else it opens the new-deal dialog.

Without the company.create permission, C on Companies falls back to opening the new-deal dialog instead — the same thing it does everywhere else outside People.
