Deals
Create a deal, work it from its detail page, and move it to won or lost. How the stepper, composer, timeline, and rail fit together, and how archive differs from delete.

Press C anywhere in the app (outside People) to open New deal, or use the New deal button on the pipeline board. A deal needs only a name to save — everything else can be filled in later.
Creating a deal
- Deal name — required.
- Pipeline — only shown if your workspace has more than one.
- Value, stage, owner, contact, and expected close date — all optional. Stage defaults to the pipeline’s first stage, owner defaults to you.
- Visibility — workspace, pipeline, team, or private. Choosing team shows a team picker.
- Any custom fields defined for deals.
Company and lead source are not on the create form. Set them from the deal page after the deal exists, in the rail. Labels also start empty and are added from the deal page.
The deal page
A deal has four working areas.
- Stepper — the stage progress bar at the top. Click a stage to move the deal to it. If the target stage has document requirements you haven’t met, the move is blocked until they’re satisfied.
- Composer — logs a note, email, or call against the deal. A separate Send email button opens a real compose dialog when Gmail is connected, rather than just logging text.
- Timeline — the activity feed: notes, emails, calls, document changes, and status or owner changes, newest first.
- Rail — the right-hand panel: contact, owner, value, and close date (inline editable), company and lead source, labels, visibility and team, commissions, related stakeholders, custom fields, and a deal-health indicator.
Status: open, won, lost
Every deal is open, won, or lost. While a deal is open, a Won button sits on the deal page and marks it won immediately, no confirmation step. Lost is in the overflow menu and works the same way — one click, no reason prompt. Reopen, also in the overflow menu, sets a won or lost deal back to open.
Archive vs. delete
These are two different things. Archive, from the overflow menu or the card menu on the pipeline board, hides a deal from the board and from the default deal list without touching its status — use it for deals you’re parking, not closing. Archived deals are listed under Settings → Trash & archive, in their own Archived section, where you can bring any of them back with Unarchive.
Delete is a soft delete: the deal disappears from view but isn’t gone. Restore it from Settings → Trash. A restored deal comes back with the status and stage it had when deleted.
