Connect Slack and Discord
Connect a Slack or Discord bot so automations can post to a channel, DM a teammate, and @-mention a user group or role. Owner-only to connect or disconnect.

Connecting Slack or Discord lets an automation’s "Post to a channel" step actually deliver — see Automations for the step itself. The connection is a real OAuth bot install, not an incoming-webhook URL.
- 1Open Settings → Integrations.
- 2On the Slack or Discord card, click Connect. Only the workspace owner sees this button.
- 3You’re sent to Slack’s or Discord’s own consent screen to approve the bot for your workspace.
- 4You’re returned to NeoKivo, connected — the card shows the connected workspace or server.
Connect only works once your workspace admin has registered a Slack or Discord app for NeoKivo to use — a one-time, operator-side setup, not something you configure per workspace. Ask whoever manages your NeoKivo deployment if the button appears disabled.
What the bot can do
- Post a message to a connected channel — what the "Post to a channel" automation step sends.
- DM a specific teammate. This is Slack only; Discord’s bot does not support direct messages here.
- @-mention a Slack user group or a Discord role inside that message, in addition to mentioning specific people.
Disconnecting
Disconnect from the same card. Like connecting, it’s owner-only. NeoKivo revokes the Slack token where it can and removes the connection either way; any automation step that posted to that channel simply stops delivering until you reconnect.
If your workspace set up Slack or Discord before this OAuth flow existed, that was the older incoming-webhook card — it has been retired. Reconnect through Settings → Integrations to get the bot version described here.
